Remodeling on the Rise This Year

This year is expected to be a big one for remodeling in the U.S., with growth occurring pretty much everywhere. In fact, Remodeling magazine’s online edition says that remodeling, in the 381 metropolitan areas for which statistics are kept, is expected to grow five percent this year. Already, during the first quarter of this year, remodeling grew four percent over last year’s first quarter.

If you’re planning to do some remodeling yourself, it’s the perfect time to install one of our modern, new Gen2 ceiling fans, which also are seeing sales growth this year. You don’t have to wait till a big remodeling project to install the Gen2 fans that now are available, of course; but if you’re giving your home a practical, updated, and contemporary look, Exhale Fans’ bladeless technology and gentle vortex are right on point.

If you haven’t started a remodeling project yet, never fear. Remodeling says that growth in remodeling projects is expected to be highest during the third quarter of 2015. Overall, remodeling is expected to not only reach 2007’s pre-Great Recession figures, but to surpass them, the magazine reported. The statistics were compiled by Metrostudy, a sister company of Remodeling.

Many of the homeowners responsible for the growth in remodeling are baby boomers and retirees who are adapting their homes for an “age-in-place” retirement, said Metrostudy’s chief economist.

We think our bladeless ceiling fans are ideal for seniors because, unlike old-fashioned bladed fans, the modern, bladeless technology of Exhale Fans keeps air moving in an entire room without causing the chilly blast of traditional whirling blades.

Exhale Fans’ unique bladeless technology is based on Nikola Tesla’s bladeless turbine. Our fans quietly create a vortex airflow profile that is unmatched in the ceiling fan industry. Air is not simply directed straight down, but moves around the room in a pleasant cyclonic flow.

So if you’re in the market for a cool, quiet remodeling component, check out the bladeless ceiling fans in our online store.
